Day 5, again

I blame it on the heat. I really do. I blame the heat for the fact that I have spent approximately 450.00 on a hobby I have yet to actually participate in. It has to be the heat.Still, I bought the GPS receiver, and today I bought a netbook. I plan to use the netbook to store information on the caches I want to find. So, I loaded it with Google Earth, GSAK, firefox, and when I get home sunday I’ll also load it with the Open Office Suite.

I’ll be out of town until Sunday. Going to Academy of Performing Arts in Jackson.

Day4 again

It is still bloody hot. But, on the upside, I got to leave work a whopping 15 minutes early tonight. IT seems one of the people in the building put a bag of microwave popcorn in the microwave for 3o minutes instead of three. THe resulting smoke set off the fire alarms, which caused the building to be evacuated. After having us stand around in the parking lot for about 45 minutes they said we could go home.

Day3, again

It is 11:30 PM, and I’m bushed. It’s been a long, very long day. Long, but good. That is all.

Day2, again.

This has been, without a doubt, the most productive day I’ve had this month. Personally productive, that is. I only spent two hours gaming, and I have used the other hours, the hours I have been spending playing WOW to actually get some stuff done.

I downloaded and installed some Geocaching software. I also spent about an hour getting familiar with my GPS reciever; I bought a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx, last week, but I hadn’t spent any time actually learning how to use it until this evening. Finally, I downloaded the coordinates to several nearby caches. I guess the next step will be to actually get out and find them. My hope is that getting involved in this hobby will actually motivate me to get outside and exercise¬† a little.

Day1, Again: AKA, starting over

OK, so I took off most of the month of July. The important thing to remember, to focus on, is that I did not take off all of the month of July. So, I’m starting over again with the whole “30 Day Challenge.”. This is day one.
