The Day that was Saturday

So, it’s Saturday, August 28, 2010, and for the the first time in a long time I don’t have anything overly pressing to do.    Surprisingly enough, this is also the last weekend in quite some time when I don’t something pressing to do. So, I’m going to make the most of it.

True, I do have to post a list of the lost and found items from 5th Year. That is half done (I’m currently washing the second load of cloth items). I also have to write a couple of emails related to last week’s event. These tasks will not take very long.

I also find it surprising that I have no real desire to play WOW. I didn’t have much time to play the week before last because I was preparing for 5th Year, and this past week I didn’t have much time to play because I was busy recovering from the event. Now, I have time I just don’t have the interest. I’m not planning on canceling my account or anything like that, I just don’t particularly feel like spending time with it right now.

I know I need to spend some time figuring out what I do want to work on next. Actually, what I really need to do is figure out what projects I’m already committed to, and what events I have committed myself to attend. Once that is done I should think about what other projects, or what new projects I want to work on.

I know I want to get back to actively making jewelry again; I’ve not spent any time with pliers in my hands for quite some time. I also need to re-focus on implementing the GTD methodology in my life. I felt like I was making real progress on several aspects of my life when I was following that methodology, but over the last couple of months I have lost focus. I need to, and more importantly, want to regain that focus.

Hmm….it appears the first load of lost and found laundry is done. Time to get busy.
