One of the joys of a short work week is that it passes VERY quickly. It’s already Thursday, and that means that I only have to survive another 360 minutes of the work week and then I’ll have the weekend.

So far my major accomplishment for the week is not buying this ; I really want it. But, since I’m trying to be more frugal, I have not allowed myself to buy it. Not yet, anyway. See, if I had it, I could use my lap top, or net book anywhere. But, not only does it cost 150.00 plus change, there is also a monthly 40.00/month charge.  I just can’t justify it.

I can’t justify because I don’t want to spend the money. I can’t justify it because I’m trying to get rid of stuff, not acquire more stuff. I can’t justify it because I don’t really use my net book that much any way. I know all kinds of reasons why I shouldn’t buy it, but I can’t get rid of the desire to buy it anyway.  So far I’m remaining strong in my commitment to frugality and to reducing material possessions.

My other noteworthy success this week is the fact that I’ve gone two consecutive days without buying any snacks from the vending machines at work. This is a fairly important accomplishment because I normally buy four to five soda’s per day (at a cost of 1.00 per soda).  I have to say I’m rather proud of that.
